The month of May really flew by and I fell deeply in love with a few products that I have yet to put down. I have included each of these fabulous products into my everyday makeup routine.

To give my skin the perfect glow and all over hydration I start with applying The Body Shop's Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil. This product has been featured on my blog before, almost a whole year ago (my very first blog post)! I first found this life changing oil in the store Marshall's for only $7, its original price is $39.00 so it was a complete steal! Although I initially fell head of heels for this oil, once I ran out I never purchased the product for its full retail price. I actually believe that this products original price is very inexpensive compared to other facial oils, I bounced back and forth with trying other products before settling for the retail price (which I still haven't LOL). Recently I was in TJ Maxx and found this baby on the very back of a shelf for only $10. It had been a year since I first experienced the way this product worked and while in store staring at this product I wasn't too sure on my feelings for it, I knew that I loved it but I was sure on the details. Good thing I blogged about it, so after going to read my first blog about this product I knew I could not walk out of the store without purchasing it. After using it for a few consecutive weeks this product has landed it way back into my box of favorites!

I usually have a pretty routined makeup process and after I allow the Oils of Life to sit and soak into myskin, I apply a moisturizer and then this perfect primer (for my skin-normal to oily). The primer I'm referring to is by Kat Von D, it is the hydrating primer and base. Although I have never been a fan of water-based primers (I usually going for oil-based primers, especially during the winter season) this primer is amazing and I believe it has everything to do with it being water-based! Hydration at its best! The application of this primer has to be my favorite step in my makeup routine, it applies like silk and does not leave my face feeling sticky, it leaves it super soft and the perfect base to apply my foundation next.

The foundation i've been using non stop for the last six month is the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear. I'ts a shame it has taken so long for it to end up in a favorites blog post (I'm sorry to hold out on you guys)! Late last November, early December I was doing some shopping and didn't plan on buying any foundation ( I was stuck on my favorite drug store foundation, L'oréal True Match). After impulsively buying this foundation, I hated it! Oh my, it was the worst foundation I ever used, I didn't like how long it took to oxidize and I didn't feel that it was full coverage, as the sales associate expressed it would be. Within the past six month I definitely have different feelings towards this product now. I came to love how the foundation oxidized and I also loved how light its feels on my face and how medium the coverage is. Its definitely a buildable foundation, which I found out after about two months (LOL). The foundation is said to have "up to 24H color wear & comfort transfer-resistant." I have never dared to wear this fountain for 24 hours so I cannot attest to that but it is a very comfortable foundation, almost like nothing is there and it can definitely be considered transfer-resistant with the right setting spray (Urban Decay All Nighter is what I use and I swear it doesn't move). I have the shade 420 Bisque N, it is truly a winter shade for me so to get the right summer shade I mix it with any of my other darker foundation shades. This foundation is definitely worth the money, I have had this same bottle for six month and have yet to reach the end, I'm pretty sure I still have a long way to go before it is empty. I highly recommend this foundation.

The next product I have to mention is a product I had no intentions on buying because of the color, I am talking about MAC Cosmetic's Gold Deposit. This past March I went into my local MAC store in the mall to pick up the lip pencil Stripdown for my birthday dinner, while there I thought to myself "Girl its your birthday, splurge a little." Even though I didn't splurge (at all) I walked out the store with Gold Deposit (and Stripdown of course)! I had heard great things about this highlighter, it was being talked about everywhere (now I see why)! Personally, I like highlighters that have more of a simmering aspect rather than something as gold and bronzy as Gold Deposit, I like for them to POP! So, I was hesitant of purchasing this product but I said what the hell and went for it and I'm so glad I did so! I love this product, in my opinion it is a perfect summer highlight because it gives me such a golden finish. It applies so perfectly, so soft and consistent!

For the past two months I was indulged in the eyelash extension trend and although I love it so much I made a conscious decision to give it a break. The beauty Gods blessed me with long and full lashes from birth, but I was so adherent to trying this trend out. I called a quits because I saw the dramatic change in my natural lashes and hated it! Immediately after removing my lash extensions I drove to Sephora and purchased the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara and so far I am in love. Although my lashes need a lot of love and care, this mascara almost had me fooled! It is very thick and brings a lot of volume and length to my natural lashes, I also love the fact that it is very black! I did just recently purchase this product but I can already tell it will treat me very well.

xoxo, KT
