We all love Sundays and everything they offer.
As a young child, I spent Sundays at church and with family afterwards, not much has changed. These days I am still surrounded with the love my family gives almost every Sunday. I've decided to share one Sunday of each month with you guys and take you along as I enjoy the most simple and calm day of the week.
This past Sunday, me and my girls went to a local Atlanta restaurant named Folk Art. I have no clue how they get they came up with that name but it was a very satisfying visit and experience.
Upon arrival to the restaurant we were told there was a forty minute wait, not having to actually wait that long we were able to get a booth after twenty-five minuets. As soon as we were seated our waiter quickly came to take our drink orders and back around to take our meal orders shorty after. Once our food arrived it was time to dive in! We all ordered different meals: my mom ordered a omelet with hash-browns, bacon, and toast, one my younger sisters orders a single sweet potato waffle and the other ordered shrimp and grits with scrambled eggs, my older sister ordered a sweet potato waffle with fried chicken and whiskey peach compote, and I ordered a lamb burger with lettuce, pickles, onions, cheddar cheese, and mushrooms.
We were all satisfied with our meals and got the chance to taste a little of each others meal. I can say that I did enjoy the quality of the food, it was said to be locally raised and all sauces were made in house. The prices in my opinion were very affordable and this popular place is somewhere I would be visiting a few more times to try more things on the menu.
After leaving the restaurant we spent some time in Atlantic station and shopping in Ikea. I got some much needed things at a very good price and was happy with the experience at the Atlanta Ikea.
Ending the day with ice cream, we stopped at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams and OH BOY I'M IN LOVE! I have heard so many great things about this place but never got the chance to try it until this past Sunday and it is the best ice cream I've had yet. I ordered the "flights of minis" which was three half scoops, I choose the flavors sweet cream, salty caramel, and brown sugar almond brittle and I instantly fell head over heels for this ice cream. Its taste was amazing and the texture was perfect, definitely a place I will be visiting more often.
I wore a mock neck from Nautica with Nautica jeans, a belt and heeled booties.
As always here are some pictures from Sunday!
XOXO -KT
