What a journey!
Recently I hikes Stone Mountain in Georgia, it has been something I've been wanting to do for a long time now. I finally got to do it and I'm so proud of myself. Over the last two years I've gotten back into my childhood tom-boyish ways, which includes a lot of outdoor activities and one of those being hiking.
I have been on a few hiking trails before but nothing with the magnitude of Stone Mountain so I expected it to be a little more challenging.
The hike to the top of the mountain is one mile up and one mile down. I have to be honest, there was a point during the hike, right before the top when I was out of breath and starting to feel like this whole thing was a mistake. I didn't quit and I was even more proud of myself when I made it to the top. Although the hike seemed to take a lot of energy out of me, afterwards I was filled with a burst of energy and had a better mood than when I started. This is the main reason I like to hike, I feel like a new person after I put my body and mind to the test. Testing my strength to see how for I could go is something I often do whether it is physical, mental or emotional. I do enjoy finding my limits in certain things so that I can continue to push them further and that is what I did when I hiked Stone Mountain, being outside with nature and hiking this mountain brought me so much joy.
I caught a few good picture while hiking and are so happy to share them with you.
